Jessica Fladger, DNP, CNM serves as a Birth Center Midwife as well as the Midwifery Education Faculty member for Birth Detroit. Jessica obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Michigan, followed by her Master’s of Science in Nurse Midwifery at Vanderbilt University. She began her career as a midwife in Detroit in 2015 and has been serving metro Detroit families ever since. In 2022 she earned a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from her alma mater U of M, where she currently serves as a community based faculty member to help support midwifery students of color. Jessica is passionate about providing high quality, loving, evidence based care in her community, as well as diversifying the midwifery workforce to ensure safe, equitable midwifery care for generations to come.
