Diamond Day-Parker joins the Birth Detroit team as a marketing assistant. Diamond was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, where her passion for advocacy emerged. She has worked for multiple nonprofit organizations in the area and continues volunteering in her spare time. 

Diamond is a proud alumna of Michigan State University, where she graduated with her bachelor of science degree, majoring in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in health & and society and minoring in bioethics. She earned her master of public health degree from Grand Valley State University where she concentrated on health promotion, and conducted independent research on lactation. 

Diamond has created branding packages and other graphic design work for small businesses in multiple counties across Michigan, and has social media coordination experience for various organizations. Linking her passions for reproductive justice and graphic design is extremely fulfilling, and she is always eager to jump in to new projects.
