Bre'Anna Harper

Executive Coordinator

Bre’Anna Harper joins Birth Detroit as an Executive Coordinator, with 10+ years experience working alongside mid and senior-level executives. Outside of the office, Bre’Anna, a Michigan State University graduate, is a passionate servant leader with an understanding of maternal/infant health and community engagement. Driven by purpose, Bre'Anna takes pride in her integrity, provision of quality customer service, and strategic organization.


Prior to joining Birth Detroit, Bre’Anna served as a Student and Graduate Medical Education Coordinator for 5 years before transitioning roles into public health administration. As the previous Grant Assistant for the Office of Equity and Minority Health (OEMH) at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Bre'Anna was honored to provide project management assistance engaging multi-sector partners to develop, initiate, and build community based interventions to mitigate the impacts of the social determinants of health and historical place based racism. In her new role, Bre'Anna seeks to utilize her clinical and administrative background to provide superior support to the Birth Detroit team.


In addition to her primary job functions, Bre’Anna is passionate about lifting and encouraging others to chase their dreams and has an extraordinary commitment to being the light and change she wants to see in the world. Bre’Anna is inspired daily by her son, whom she refers to as her SON-shine. Outside of the office, Bre’Anna expresses her creativity through makeup artistry, yoga, and content creation.
